Goaltending Tips > Penalty Shot Strategy

.... In a Penalty Shot the odds are stacked against the goaltender, but you do have a chance if you play the shots correctly. The main thing to do is skate out about 5 feet and then slowly skate backwards as the player moves in. This cuts down the angle so that the player can't just come up and slap it down. Be sure to skate backwards at a constant speed so that if the player tries a deke you can react accordingly. Its a pretty simple stategy.
